Ebony Ssali, MBA is a Creative Director and cultural storyteller who builds enduring brands at the intersection of creativity and community. She is the founder of Glyph Global Creative, a brand consultancy headquartered in Wisconsin. Ssali transforms complex narratives into timeless design and purpose-driven campaigns to help organizations grow and lead with intention.

In a changing economy, Ebony Ssali believes creativity remains the strongest currency and helps brands spend it wisely.

A recognized leader in place branding and multicultural marketing, Ssali has spent almost 25 years strengthening mid-market and mission-driven organizations through brand systems, campaigns, and creative assets that authentically engage Black and Latino markets across healthcare, education, community development, technology, and innovation sectors. Her work celebrates excellence. Ssali inspires innovation and redefines how brands show up for the audiences and communities they serve.

In 2021, Ssali marked 10 years of brand building with Ssali Media and continues that legacy through Glyph Global Creative, whose mission is to create forever enduring brands. Her creative philosophy is guided by the belief that marketing, done with integrity, has the power to change the world.

Ssali’s work has been nationally recognized, including Graphic Design USA’s Health & Wellness Award, Wisconsin Inno’s 50 on Fire, and awards for technology, innovation, and place branding such as the City of Milwaukee’s Bronzeville Week. In 2023, she was named in Graphic Design USA People to Watch and a Milwaukee Magazine Woman of Distinction. In 2025, she was honored by 101.7 The Truth as an Unsung Hero for her impact uplifting Milwaukee communities through branding.

Ebony Ssali is a sought-after speaker and national guest lecturer presenting on branding, innovation, diversity in communications, and creativity as a strategic business lever. In 2024, she developed and hosted Community Heartbeat, a twice-monthly radio broadcast presented by Outreach Community Health Centers. 

Ssali earned her BA in Advertising with an emphasis in Psychology from Marquette University and her MBA from Alverno College. She is deeply committed to service and leadership, having held roles including President of Marquette University’s Ethnic Alumni Association, Marketing Chair of the National Black MBA Association – Milwaukee Chapter, and Public Image Chair of Rotary International in Wisconsin. She currently serves as a Board Director for the Friends of the Haggerty Museum of Art at Marquette University and provides pro bono marketing advisory support to national nonprofits.
